Australian rugby team divided by opinions on same-sex marriage

The Australian national rugby team has caused controversy over split opinions on same-sex marriage.
One player took to Twitter to explain despite his love and respect for the community he ‘will not support gay marriage.’
This came as a shock after the Australian Rugby Union were vocal about supporting the #VoteYes campaign.
Israel Folau plays for the Qantas Wallabies, who have also shown their support for same-sex marriage.

I love and respect all people for who they are and their opinions. but personally, I will not support gay marriage.✌❤

The whole team does not share such a view, however.
Team mate David Pocock tweeted, explaining he’d be voting yes.
Pocock took a stance against homophobic language on the pitch two years ago.

When my survey arrives I’ll #VoteYes for justice and love. #MarriageEquality
